Development news by email

When you subscribe, we store your email address, the consent wording, signup source and relevant signup, confirmation and delivery dates. We send The Rookie development and launch news only after you confirm your subscription. You can withdraw consent using the unsubscribe link in any newsletter. Delivery, bounce and complaint records help us stop sending to addresses that should no longer receive mail.

Optional visitor measurement

With your analytics consent, we measure visits, sessions, broad device categories and campaign sources, and use Google Analytics. Declining or withdrawing analytics consent does not stop you subscribing. The website does not send subscriber email addresses or confirmation tokens to Analytics. Network addresses are also processed temporarily to limit abuse; the audience dashboard does not store them or identify individual visitors.

The services involved

Netcup hosts the website and its database. Resend delivers individual messages and returns delivery, bounce and complaint status; the sender is configured in its Ireland region. Purelymail handles incoming correspondence. Google provides optional Analytics and the private administrator's sign-in. These providers process the data needed for their services and may use infrastructure outside the UK, subject to their applicable contractual transfer safeguards. The subscriber list and campaign drafts are managed by No Fear Tech Ltd.

How long we keep information

Unconfirmed requests expire after 48 hours and are removed after seven days. First-party visitor measurements are removed after 90 days. Confirmed subscriptions remain until withdrawal or deletion; we retain a minimal suppression record to honour an unsubscribe. Campaign delivery records support delivery investigations and suppression. Correspondence and security records are kept as needed to handle requests and protect the service. Google Analytics has its own configured retention settings.

Your choices and requests

Email privacy@therookiegame.com to request access, correction or deletion, or to object to processing based on legitimate interests. Newsletter and optional analytics processing use your consent; proportionate service security and suppression help protect the service and respect your choices. You can change analytics consent from the website and unsubscribe from newsletters at any time. You can also raise a concern with the UK's Information Commissioner's Office.

Private administration

Essential administrator session cookies protect the private Pit Wall. Administrator access uses the authorised Google account and a separate authenticator. These controls are separate from optional visitor analytics.
