THE PEOPLE & MATERIALS BEHIND THE PICTURE

ARTWORK &
FONT CREDITS.

The cinematic marketing images are original concept artwork created for The Rookie with OpenAI image generation. They are labelled separately from the actual development-build captures. The approved logo uses original generated steering-wheel artwork and bespoke racing lettering.

Development captures

Vehicle artwork visible in the game captures is adapted from the models below, with fictional in-game names and specifications. These records credit the artists; they do not imply manufacturer sponsorship or a licensed real-world racing series.

Native Sova

The current native Sova exterior is adapted from “Volvo V60 Polestar (2013)” by Myedsu. Exterior source. Earlier native captures used a cabin shell adapted from “Audi A4 B5.5 Avant” by Tomaso (Tomasoo). Cabin source. Both are supplied under CC BY 4.0. Adaptations include fitting to the fictional Sova, geometry/material conversion, front-surface subdivision, corrected normals, removal of badges and registration faces, and original wheels, driver, instruments and club equipment. The native 0.3.9 cockpit shown on this website uses original project cockpit geometry, controls, instruments and cage; the Audi-derived shell is retained only as historical provenance. The separate historical browser Sova uses the Audi-derived body and cabin. Attribution corrected 25 October 2026: earlier Facebook campaign drafts incorrectly credited the native exterior to Tomaso. No artist or manufacturer endorsement is implied.

Aster 160

“Honda Civic Type R -98”, remodelled by tiedtke, based on the original Widebody Honda Civic Type R by Louweee___. Original model · CC BY 4.0.

Rook S

“BMW M3 E30”, original Blender artwork and PBR textures by Martin Trafas. Original model · CC BY 4.0.

Brant GT

“02_Chevrolet Astra”, original artwork by foxcgi. Original model · CC BY 4.0.

The Aster and Brant were supplied in simplified GLB form by the carros project. Adaptations include conversion for this game, removal of manufacturer badges and registration overlays, scale/material/wheel adjustments, race numbers, cages, club trim and runtime damage. The Rook retains its creator's original Blender and texture source. Full attribution and modification record.

World imagery

Development captures use Poly Haven's Leafy Grass by Charlotte Baglioni, Asphalt Track by Dimitrios Savva and Kloppenheim 06 Pure Sky by Greg Zaal and Jarod Guest, supplied under CC0. Maps are resized/compressed for the game. World source record. Foliage atlases and garage illustration were generated for The Rookie with OpenAI image generation. The workshop, scenery, interface and other original game code are project work.
